Violet

Stephanie Corazza

Just when you think Vancouver’s shopping scene can’t get any better; it does. Newly opened boutique, Violet, blooms in South Granville.

Owner Genevieve Allen brings a warm smile and sense of comfortable luxury to her store. With delectable candies and treats to nibble on, sweet smelling roses to look at, and of course stunning fashion pieces to try on, you can’t help but step inside and take a look around. The store’s décor emulates Vanessa Bruno’s (a favorite of hers and mine) apartment, which she drew ideas from in a magazine.

With trips to Paris twice a year, Genevieve has no trouble finding inspiration for the merchandise she buys in her store. With labels like Paul and Joe Sister, Cotelac, Fiorentini + Baker, Cynthia Vincent, Abraham & Thakore, Cacharel, and Charlott Vasber to name a few, you will be sure to find something one-of-a-kind that will be getting friends asking where you got it.
Genevieve says for fall, “I’m most looking forward to lace and texturized tights! I can’t wait to see them again; they are just so great.” I couldn’t agree with her more.

Visit the newly opened shop at 3012 Granville St. (at West 14th Ave.) or online at www.violetboutique.ca and fall in love with Violet.
