PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL

More often times than not, I agree with the coin phrase “good things come in small packages.” Well, get ready British Columbians, because unless you’ve fled the country and have taken up temporary residence on another reality, you must have heard of the Pemberton Music Festival by now. And by all means, this is definitely better than good thing; it’s gift wrapped in a bigger than large present!

The world’s largest live music company, Live Nation has teamed up with Good Boy Productions to bring all music enthusiasts a three day, nonstop, heavy-hitting music festival! From Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27, Pemberton will play home to a whole lot of excitement. All this musical goodness will allow music nerds, hipster kids, hip hop heads, working urbanites, and families from all over to come and witness the first ever European inspired music festival nestled between the gorgeous backdrop of the gorgeous BC mountains.

The three day lineup includes musical inspirations from the old, present, and new including: Coldplay, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Nine Inch Nails, and Jay Z. The indie alternative world highlights Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket, Metric, Black Mountain, and Wintersleep. In addition, Bacardi will be sponsoring a dance tent with the world’s hottest electronic deejaying acts.

The first ever Pemberton Music Festival will display a green, environment-friendly theme for all festival-goers. Food available on the premises will be courtesy of the local Pemberton Valley farm grounds. Carpooling in cars with four or more passengers will be allowed onto the site with no extra charge for parking.  Electricity used to power the festival will be 100% hydroelectric.

Tickets are still available for this first ever event in BC. For full festival info, visit www.pembertonfestival.com and purchase your tickets (sooner rather than later I recommend). Camping is available, but there are skimpy amounts of tickets available. Full festival three day passes are selling at $259.50 plus all applicable service charges. Individual day passes are also available for $149.50 per day.

Now Pemberton will be known for a lot more than just their potatoes.
