Fun, Flirty and Feminine with Christina Darling

Coming up with a Spring ‘08 line was the last thing on Christina Culver’s mind when her agent called her a few months ago, but an offer to sponsor her Christina Darling collection was too sweet a deal for the designer to pass up. The catch? She had only a month to do it. Having showcased her inaugural collection in Spring ‘05, Culver felt she had gained enough knowledge and confidence from the experience to take on the challenge. Her mission? To “stay true to integrity and design”.

And that she did. Between the atlas printed frock, leopard printed hot pants, and chromed-out gown, Culver’s creations are absolutely in every way indicative of the flirty and modern Christina Darling brand. The show seemed a tad short and some additional pieces would have made the collection more cohesive, but what was displayed was a sight to see.  In the end, Culver was able to maintain her aesthetic sense and show the crowd her jet-set inspired collection which was, if we may say...absolutely darling!
