Holts for the Holidays

As guests and shopaholics alike begin to clammer onto Bloor Street to watch Aretha sing her way into the holidays, girls with white trays and adorable head pieces waltz around offering mini candy canes to those anxiously awaiting Aretha--and the legendary windows.

Holt Renfew is upping the ante on delivering stunning holiday displays. The classic Christmas window tradition has been one locked firmly in young hearts.Aretha belts out five of her greatest hits in a luxe white fur coat, white corset and silver gems, among fans shouting ‘We love you, Aretha!” The cold, rainy weather will certainly not ruin this parade.

A countdown creates buzz, and the entire area is completely swarmed by people waiting to see what’s in store- and to take advantage of this special shopping night, where a percentage of the sales go to the Children’s Wish Foundation. On the final countdown call, the red velvet curtain is pulled as observers gasp in delight.
