It’s the classic story of the girl next door. Growing up, she is the “best friend”, then one day she is noticed for her unique femininity and from then on she is the appreciated for what she is: a balance between the masculine and feminine. This distinctive balance of both feminine and tomboy style is exactly what lily+jae emanates and this philosophy is echoed in name of the line. According to lily +jae “Lily is the feminine side (and a former alias of Jude) while Jae represents the masculine side. Jae is the middle name of one of her brothers, who both have provided inspiration for the masculine elements of the collection”.

lily+jae is a refreshing young line based in east Vancouver, but is rapidly expanding nationally and has recently begun moving into international markets. The line has been spotted worn by singer Lilly Allen and actress Sarah Polley.

lily+jae says the clothes “are designed for both work and play. You can wear lily+jae to
a nightclub, but you can also wear it to walk the dog, and you'll look fantastic either way.” It’s true; flirty details added to simple designs create the perfect combination of casual and formal.
