Lindsay Keegan and Rich Nguyen became fast friends during design class. “After school, I moved to London,” says Lindsay. “I’ve worked with a dozen different designers and I always thought ‘I do not want that job!’”
But late one summer night in 2005, a plan was hatched. “We had both gotten into reworking and deconstruction and had a similar aesthetic going on. I suggested he join me in the studio a couple of days a week, and he was excited about it.” And that’s when Egg Clothing was born.
“This season we've been playing with more fun shapes and lots of pleating, new colours, and, of course, versatility,” says Lindsay. “The line is generally a little on the quirky side as we are both fans of fun, amusing details.”
Spring styles play off of the concept of C shapes, which provide a lot of texture and versatility. The pleating created the illusion of fins, which brought about a water-inspired collection including a Fin Top, Shark Pant, Starfish Skirt, and Seahorse Jacket in aquatic hues such as blue, green, and yellow.
