Saturday
: Sparkle
It has been said that Toronto is the capital of style, and Sparkle was the last chance for its designers to prove themselves worthy of such a title. The finale of the four-day fashion pageant was held on Saturday, May 26 at the Docks Entertainment Complex, presenting the works of 100 Miles, Brazen Hussy, Honey Matthews, L.R.G and Famous Stars & Straps.
Embodying the hip hop, street wear and urban cultures, 100 Miles has garnered success both locally and internationally for its roots culture designs (

). Carolyn Matthews considers her urban-chic fashion line, Honey Matthews, a classy lifestyle product, rather then just another urban clothing line (

). LRG has consistently reinvented itself in the Hip Hop clothing world, staying abreast of the latest fabric and clothing manipulation possibilities (

). Brazen Hussy is a line for all girls who love fashion and love to look good. (

) Famous Stars and Straps (also known as FSAS) is an American clothing and accessory line created by Travis Barker, best known as the drummer of the pop punk band Blink-182. The line is influenced by music genres such as punk rock and hip-hop. The showcasing designers were individually paired with performing music artists, including Ray Robinson, Point Blank, Page, Daetona, Untitled, Marcu Vogue and Cory Lee to help immerse the attendees in fashion and pop culture. The designs were
okay
, the music was tolerable, and I didn’t feel inspired enough to stick around for the after party.
