with the city’s “party of the year,” including the presence of celebrities Marcia Cross, Rumer Willis, Zooey Deschanel and Dave Navarro. In true, trendsetting fashion, it looks like Toronto’s Bloor Street Holt's will be receiving its own facelift later this fall. Stay tuned for further details to come.
Speaking of shopping destinations that have jumped Hudson Bay, Dutil Denim - the hit denim-only purveyor that opened just over a year ago in Vancouver - has been actively sourcing locations for its first Toronto location. Though founders and co-owners Rob Lo and Eric Dickstein have encountered some difficulty with real estate in Canada’s biggest city, they remain confident that they will open a store there by Fall 2007 and that it will be as well received as their store back home.
Meanwhile, look for Canada’s first freestanding Michael Kors lifestyle stores in Montreal and Vancouver. Both locations are slated to open in August and will retail a combination of all the Michael Kors labels (including the upscale Michael Kors, the more-accessible and immensely-popular Michael Michael Kors and, of course, the sportier Kors Michael Kors) with a mix that will include 80 percent accessories and 20 percent clothing.
