Marc’s Art

Marc Jacobs’ runway shows are always among the most anticipated, and never disappoint — whether it’s in the fashions that are presented, which help define the look of the upcoming season, or the show itself. In addition, Jacobs’ collaborations with artists such as Takashi Murakami have resulted in hit designs that have wooed the world over. This season, Fashion Wire Daily reports that Jacobs’ Spring 2008 showing will feature a special video installation piece by artist Charles Atlas.

Women’s Wear Daily has made a similar announcement — that the September 10 show will also feature Jacobs’ longtime friend Richard Prince. Whether the names have simply been mixed up, or if the runway presentation will indeed feature a multitude of Jacobs’ contemporary artist friends, only time will tell..
