Store Stories
Several construction projects were announced this month. First, Versace celebrated its new 1,600-square-foot boutique in Taipei, which marks the first of eight new stores opening in Asia over the new few months, including two in Beijing. Second, Abercrombie & Fitch announced plans to open its first Asian store in Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district. According to

, the store, scheduled to open in late 2009, will cover 22,000 square feet and will be similar in décor to its Fifth Avenue New York megastore. The company is also developing a flagship store for its Hollister division, which targets 14- to 18-year old consumers.
