At Mylène B., women can look forward to dressing a little more rebelliously, and a little more manly, next year. Straight trousers, nipple-pinched T-shirts, black sheer tops, silky wife-beaters — all came in the spectrum of gray with splashes of mustard yellow. There was much duality at play here, mixing feminine and masculine, sheer and opaque, light and rigid. A peculiar-looking black coat shone like leather, but turned out to be a cotton raincoat! Unlike many of this season’s designers, there was a complete absence of floral patterns — no blooming gardens here. If anything, feminine shapes will be peeking out on their own from underneath the sheer tops.

Shorts, silver tights, loose off-the-shoulder blouses, and cocktail dresses galore, Foxy Jeans designed for the young, 20-something girl looking to have some fun next summer. It’s going to be sunny times, as tanned models in large, white-rimmed sunglasses made their way, bopping up and down to a club beat mood, down the runway. The signature denims were in various forms of skinny jeans, loose elephant legs, and boot-cut styles. At night, black silk satin dresses will glimmer under the streetlights, showing legs in sexy, strappy sandals. Beach clubs, margaritas, and salsa dancing will be in store next year.
