According to Women’s Wear Daily, Michael Jackson, who moved to Dubai in an effort to avoid the paparazzi, graces the October cover of L’Uomo Vogue, which was released earlier this month. The magazine features a 20-page spread of the musician, who was shot by photographer Bruce Weber. Not coincidentally, 2007 also marks the 25th anniversary of Jackson’s hit album, Thriller. WWD.com reported that editorial director Franca Sozzani boasted, “He hasn’t allowed himself to be photographed for 16 years!”

In September, Ralph Lauren’s 40th anniversary fashion show and extravagant New York Fashion Week dinner made headlines around the world, and since then, the 67 year old designer has continued to grace magazine covers and “best of” lists. FashionWatch.com reports that Lauren was recently ranked 270th on Forbes Magazine’s list of the top 400 self-made individuals. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) also recently awarded its “American Fashion Legend Award” to Lauren, a significant accolade for lifetime achievement in fashion.
